Page 1: A Distant Glow

From the distance, Xelvar was no longer a planet. It was a red stain suspended in darkness, an irregular glow slowly expanding. There was no way to distinguish shapes, structures, or life. Just light. A broken light, burning in silence. Borsiis kept his course without blinking. Each second brought him closer, but also pushed him toward something he wasn't ready to see. Part of him still thought everything would be fixed. That upon arrival, he would find an explanation. That the red thing... wasn't what it seemed.
